Who We Are
We’re Chris and Deb Martin—parents, people of faith, and the owners of Bear Creek at Baylor. Our son Alex is a Baylor student (Class of '28), and like many of you, we’ve faced the challenge of sending a child far from home.
We believe it’s important to know who owns the place where your student lives—and what they stand for. For us, it’s God, family, and purpose. We’re active members of Radiant Church in Tampa, and Alex attends Highlands Baptist in Waco. Those same values guided every decision we made when renovating Bear Creek.
Before purchasing this property, we explored nearly every student housing option in Waco. Many were outdated, dirty, or too expensive. Others were run by big companies with no real connection to the students they housed.
That’s when we decided to do something different.
We're Not Like Other Property Managers
We don’t hide behind call centers or impersonal policies. At Bear Creek At Baylor, students and parents know exactly who we are—and they can reach us. We created Bear Creek At Baylor because we couldn’t find a place where we’d feel good about sending our own son. So, we built it ourselves, and we're proud to provide one of the best off campus student housing for Baylor University students.
What we offer isn’t just housing—it’s peace of mind. We want students to feel safe, supported, and surrounded by a community that genuinely cares.
